Home Remedies For Bad Breath


Bad breath can be embarrassing sometimes, it is due to many causes that can also be underlying cause. It effects both men and women but it can be cured by many methods apart from brushing teeth, mouth wash and things like that.

Talking about bad breath which in medical term is known as Halitosis has following causes:

  1. Breakdown of proteins in mouth.
  2. Poor tongue and mouth cleaning.
  3. Tongue bacteria.
  4. Less intake of oxygen.
  5. Stomach ulcer.
  6. Gum or teeth disease.
  7. Dry mouth.
  8. Smoking.
  9. Digestive problems.


Here are some effective home remedies for treating bad breath.

1. Vinegar

Take 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar and mix it in a glass of water, and use this as a mouth wash. 

2. Lemon Juice And Mint

In a pan boil 1 cup of water and add  1/2 teaspoon of  lemon juice and few mint leaves. Boil them and drink it after meal.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar.

Take 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and mix it in 1 glass of water and drink it before meal.

4. Parsley And Cloves.

Take parsley and 2-3 cloves add it in water and make tea. Drink this after Meal, you will clearly feel the difference.

5. Boiled mint.

Take mint leaves and boil them use that water as mouth wash before going to sleep. This remedy will give you good results.

6. Guava.

Guava is good in killing bacteria and treating gum problems. Use guava for treating bad breath.

7. Water.

Drinking plenty of water helps a lot in treating bad breath as water prevents from dryness of mouth.
